2020: ‘Honestly, it’s not for everyone.’

So this really isn’t even a thing. These are just vacation photos.

But if details are necessary, these photos were taken in early June 2020. Jake and I were both laid off. There was nothing happening at home. Obviously. So we took our camper and drove from northwestern Wisconsin to Fort Collins, Colorado, and back while trying to avoid as many people as possible. That part was easy because we spent most of our time in Nebraska.

By the way, Nebraska’s new-ish tourism slogan is “Honestly, it’s not for everyone.” They’re right. But honestly, I kind of liked it. Emptiness, desolation, wine, excessive historical markers — these are all my things.

Most of these photos are actually from Iowa because I tend to me more ambitious with picture-taking during the first 25 percent or so of trips, but you get the idea.
